Peyton Manning is a Bronco.
I am not surprised by this. I predicted it the minute it was announced that Jim Irsay was going to cut him loose. For five years and $96 million, I would be a Bronco too. Actually, I would have signed for $95 million, but Manning said it wasn’t the money.
So the next question is, what happens to Tim Tebow during this off-season of quarterbacks. Answer: The New York Jets send a fourth round pick to Denver for Tim’s services.
Tim Tebow is the best tight end playing quarterback in the NFL. Unless the Jets are planning on using him as a TE, WR, FB, RB, this is just dumb.
Players in NY and fans in Jacksonville are already expressing their displeasure.
John Elway has traded one of the most polarizing figures in football today. I have been saying for nearly a year that if the Broncos could get a real QB (Manning is obviously the real deal) and have Tebow line up at every position on the offense other than center, guard and tackle, they would have the most explosive, original offensive attack in the league. Obviously Elway and company chose to part with Timmy Terrific.
I don’t think that anyone will argue with me when I say that Peyton is a better NFL quarterback than Tim. But I was curious who really was the better college signal caller. This is where there can be a great debate. Even for me, a guy that would root for any team playing the Gators unless a Florida win would benefit my Georgia Bulldogs. Even then, it would be painful. I usually don’t watch and just hope for the best.

Numbers don’t lie. They each had very impressive college careers. Each of them hold SEC records. I can’t believe I am going to type this, but Tim Tebow was the better college quarterback. He made a larger impact on the game and on his teams success. It is hard to argue two national and league titles. It is hard to argue with a Heisman in his second season. So there, I said it.
