WOW. Simply wow!

Tonight was a trip down memory lane to the golden age of American soccer, the original North American Soccer League (NASL). I really want to thank Richard Schwartz the current television color commentator for the Fort Lauderdale Strikers for helping line up the all-time guest list.

Assembled on this show tonight were not only some of the greatest talents to ever play in the NASL but some of the greatest personalities ever in sports, not just soccer. Take a listen to this show and you will here never before told stories, recollections about goals and games and off the field events. You will hear two hours of entertaining talk about sports and life in the United States in the 1970’s and early 80’s.

Thank you to Kartik Krishaiyer talking about the World Cup at the top of the show and then we went all NASL, all the time.

Jim Walker, Frantz Mattieu, Steve David, Ray Hudson, Rudy Glenn, Chico Borja, Carl Valentine, Tony Waiters, Don Droege, Gordon Hill and Willy Roy. Apologies to Willy that a pre-taped interview did not record properly.

Tonight was simply one of my favorite shows ever. The laughter was constant, the stories were incredible and the memories, for the most part, were sharp and as exciting as the moment they happened.

Enjoy listening to a two hour oral history of the golden age of soccer in America by the guys that played it, lived it and loved it!
