Sometimes you just have a fun show. Tonight was one of those shows!
News out of Miami today was certainly maddening and somehow pretty normal. That is because madness is the norm for the Miami Marlins. WPLG’s Clay Ferrero joined me to discuss the latest and certainly not the greatest decision from owner Jeffrey Loria.
Friday night in DC, the Wizards’ Paul Pierce nearly pulled off an amazing three pointer at the buzzer. It was waved off when it was determined that the ball was still on his finger-tips when the clock struck 0:00. Dave Johnson was on the mic and had the call. Dave is a pro’s pro and a veteran broadcaster. In addition to his duties with the Wizards, he is also the Voice of the DC United. It was fantastic to discuss the MLS side he calls as well as taking a stroll down memory lane with him and the original NASL.
And speaking of the NASL, the new one is alive and kicking and kicking in Fort Lauderdale is fullback Jordan Graye. Graye played for Johnson’s United and got his first start of the 2015 season in a 1-0 loss last Saturday night in St. Pete against the cross-state rivals, Tampa Bay Rowdies. This weekend Jordan will host his former team, the Carolina RailHawks at Lockhart. Take a listen and give him a call. I think he is cooking take-out!
Enjoy!
