Remember Roller Derby? Remember Jim Croce’s Roller Derby Queen? Well, tonight we take you back, way back. Roller Derby started in 1935 and Jerry Seltzer’s father started it all. Jerry took over the family business and eventually sold you concert tickets. Gary Powers is the curator and executive director of the Roller Derby Hall of Fame. These two gentleman had great stories about the origins of the sports and how it is still thriving today.
