You know I always have fun on the show but tonight was really cool. Jill Painter (@JillPainter) of the Los Angeles Daily News joined us to talk about the LA side of the Metta World Peace, the basketball thug formerly known as Ron Artest. She was a blast to have on. I really enjoyed having her on the show and we finished the show with the Oklahoma City version of events talking with Bob Irzyk (@BobIrzyk) of Channel 5 in OKC. We serenaded Bob with AC/DC’s Thunderstuck and talked about the play that may have ended James Harden’s season through injury. Metta/Ron’s actions, in my opinion, should end his career.
Sandwiched between those great interviews, Daryl Hobby (@WVLTdaryl) from CBS8 in Knoxville joined me to discuss Pat Summitt and her amazing career as the head of the Lady Vols program for 38 years. Truly a wonderful and heartwarming interview to discuss a truly hall of fame career. I encourage you to read this column I wrote: Never Forget Pat Summitt, A Coach to Remember.
We also touched on Ivan Rodriguez’s retirement from MLB, the perfect game thrown by Philip Humber of the White Sox and the eavesdropping of Mickey Loomis. If Saints owner Tom Benson does not can his GM now, Roger Goddell should.
Join me next week for a very special SILVERMAN: On Sports on Radio as we recap the 2012 NFL Draft!
