Seems like every time you turn on the news, there is a Florida connection.

Lately, seems like every time you turn on sports, there is a Florida connection.

Tonight, news and sports collided and with Florida connections. The big story of the day was Richie Incognito being anything but and the reaction by his Miami Dolphin teammate, Jonathan Martin. So couple that story along with a verdict in the case of murdered former Miami Hurricane Sean Taylor and a talk show host putting bounties on college football players, you have all the Florida sports news that’s “fit to print.” To discuss all those subjects and more, I called on filmmaker Billy Corben and WSVN’s Donovan Campbell.

Baseball crowned its champion with the bearded wonders from Beantown and to discuss the Red Sox win and to wrap up the season, Mike Bernandino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press joined me. Mike is one of the most respected baseball writers in the country and he also gave great insight into Sox owner John Henry.

And what SILVERMAN: On Sports wouldn’t be complete without some NFL talk and tonight I brought into the Caddyshack Barry Barnes of LockerReport.com to break down the weekend that was.

So, all sports roads have been leading to Florida. Please, someone, find a fork in the road and stick a fork in me, I’m out for the week. Enjoy!
