Dave LaMont of ESPN was the lead-off hitter. Dave discussed the first half of the college football season and then the conversation turned to the off the field issues facing today’s student-athletes and their universities.
Kyle Logan of ESPN 850 in Gainesville, FL was the next guest in the Caddyshack. Kyle spoke about the troubles in The Swamp as well as the off the field issues that faced quarterback Treon Harris.
With all the talk about college football, I wanted to address character issues in sports and where they start. The best place to start? Pee Wee football. The clean up hitter tonight was the Strikers’ mid-fielder Shawn Chin. “Instant Impact” made an immediate on the show. Shawn has been an outstanding player for the Fort Lauderdale side and he is a great guest here on the show.
